05/25 ~ Around 1600 hours Denver Firefighters were called to the Waste Management Recycling Plant at 3600 East 48th Avenue for an exterior pile fire.  Companies arrived to find several large piles of debris on fire, began defensive operations and ordered a 2nd Alarm.  Numerous lines were laid and 5 aerial masterstreams were placed into operation, smoke could be seen for miles.  No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.  Crews remained on scene into the night hitting hot spots, multiple companies were rotated into the scene for rehab.  Rick Luebke Photo.  A full gallery of photos can be found here.
