Two Planes Collide In Boulder, 3 Killed

02/06 ~ In the mid afternoon black smoke filled the sky in Boulder County after a tragic aircraft accident. One plane towing a glider and another plane struck eachother in mid air, resulting in an immediate fire and crash. Two occupants inside the glider were able to disconnect from the pulling plane and safely land at a nearby airport. Boulder Firefighters responded to two separate crash sites and extinguished the remaining fires, sadly all of the victims were killed on impact. The NTSB and numerous other agencies continue to investigate the incident. Rick Luebke Photos
