01/21 ~ Around 0815 Adcom alerted North Washington & Thornton Firefighters to a reported house fire in the 8500 block of Corona Street.  While units were enroute, EMS 31 reported smoke in the air visible from 88th & I-25.  Medic 31 arrived first due to find a one story, single family dwelling with heavy smoke showing from two sides.  Battalion 31 assumed the command and assigned Engine 71 to attack, 31's a pair to pull a second line and conduct a primary.  Firefighters quickly located the seat of the fire on the Charlie side and made a fast knock.  Companies conducted extensive overhaul, all searches proved negative and no injuries were reported.  The Red Cross was requested for a displaced family of 5.  Rod Blakney Photos
