Historic Cabin Fire In Larimer County

02/07 ~ At 0801 hours Poudre Firefighters were alerted to reports of a fire and explosions in the area of County Road 54G and North Overland Trail. Upon arrival into the area, crews located a two story cabin with smoke and flames showing at 2323 Island Place. Companies conducted an aggressive interior attack and were able to save the historic structure from total destruction. One occuapnt was able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of crews, all searches proved negative and the investigation continues. One bystander and one firefighter were both injured after falling on the ice, both were transported with minor injuries. Photos Courtesy of Poudre Fire Authority
