06/28 ~ At 2225 South Metro Firefighters were alerted to 5600 South Quebec for an automatic fire alarm.  Shortly after the dispatch multiple callers reported flames showing from the building, prompting MetCom to upgrade to a Confirmed Structure Fire and 2nd Alarm.  First due Quint 32 found a three story commercial office building with flames showing from the second floor.  The crew from 32 advanced a 2 1/2 hand line and began a transitional attack from the exterior.  Additional crews began arriving as the fire was knocked down from the sidewalk, then interior operations began.  Lines were advanced inside where the remaining fire was extinguished and searches were conducted throughout.  Crews remained on scene for a few hours ventilating and doing salvage work.  No injuries were reported and investigators were on scene.  D Hurst Photos
