6/15 ~ At 1314 hours West Metro Firefighters were dispatched to a Confirmed Structure Fire at 1540 South Owens Street.  First due Engine 7 found a two story, middle of the row unit with heavy fire conditions and neighbors reporting a party trapped.  Engine 7 began fast attack / rescue operations along with Squrt 8.  Within a couple minutes the first team had located and removed the trapped victim who was found with 80% burns.  Medic 2 began patient treatment on scene and quickly transported to the hospital.  The fire was knocked down and contained to the unit of origin, with only smoke damage to the Bravo and Delta exposures.  Rick Luebke Photos
