Flames Showing In Boulder County

03/10 ~ Boulder Rural Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 2484 Yarmouth Ave in Boulder at 1835 Hours. The lone occupant of the residence called and reported smoke and flames to the Boulder Communications Center. Boulder Sheriff Deputies arrived first and found flames shooting from the roof of the structure. Boulder Fire Department was first due quickly followed by Boulder Rural Fire Department. Because the area is unhydranted Mutual Aid Water Tenders were quickly requested from nearby districts. Departments initially entered fast attack mode and subsequently went to a defensive mode. There were no reported injuries and the Red Cross was called to the scene. The homeowner was able to make other arrangements for temporary housing.
